I found these glass shapes with etching on them online at a stained glass supplier and thought
that would be a nice new project to use for tatting. Been looking for something new.
So I made this doily done in size 120 Coron thread from a pattern I found in a McCall's
Needlework magazine. Just a plain ring and chain pattern, but with added long picots for
a more lacy look. It measures 4 inches or 10.5 cm. I needed it to be made out of tiny
thread because of the gap that I would have to deal with when putting the two glass
pieces together and solder them. So the Coron size 120 thread fit the bill :)
Sorry, I cannot give out the pattern. Copyright issues ;)
After getting it done, I will put copperfoil on the edges and solder it closed and attach
a hanging chain. Great idea for a sun catcher!
