This is the heart bag I tatted for my exchange partner, Colleen Esler. I found the pattern from the Anna Burda magazine(not sure which issue). I did make some modifications to the pattern because it originally was a triangle motif. I tatted it out of burgandy mercerized cotton size 20. I then stitched it down to this matching heartshaped bag that I made. I put silk ribbon embroidered roses and flowers of pink varigated ribbon. Then filled in with silk ribbon leaves. I attached a pink silk ribbon handle at the top and a brass heart charm dangling at the bottom. It was very fun to create. And hope you might get inspired to do some combination tatting and silk ribbon embroidery.
