I finished this piece just a few days ago and sent it to my friend Sherry, aka Celtic Dream Weaver to help cheer her up. It is a Schneeberger lace. I got it from a picture I found on the internet. It was so long ago that I don't know where it came from. I printed it up on card stock and used that as my pricking. Works like a charm!! It is from De techniek van het kantklossen (Cantecleer handboeken) by Annelie van Olffen-Spikermann. The original was done in all white. But I didn't want to keep with that tradition and wanted color. The thread I used was DMC 80 tatting cotton in white and pink and the outer edge and tallies are done in Oliver Twist thread size 30 in green. Because I chose to do it in color, I had to improvise on the technique on the outer edge. The original had a "four about the pin" edge and I had to opt for the "winkie pin". I think it still worked out nice. It was a fun pattern and went fairly quickly even if I was working from just the picture and no pricking.
