These are a few of my large collection of antique tatting shuttles. A lot of them I have repeats or consist of several sizes of one kind. I go to just about every antique shop when on my travels looking for them. The more precious ones are getting harder to find and are more expensive now. Made of sterling silver with a holly pattern and monogram "H" Made of German silver Made of celluloid, depicts Lydia Pinkham on this side and her advertisement for her herbal medicine on the backside Made of mother of pearl Made of bone. I saw an advert of this shuttle in a 1916 Ladies Home Journal magazine Made of plastic. circa ~1950s. Kind of funky looking, I had to get it.
